E. Sue Bopp, President, Partner & Agent

Sue has been with the EMO Agency since 1986, serving as its President and Operating Officer since 2007 at the corporate headquarters office in Warrenton, Virginia.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.  Sue is a licensed Agent and earned “R” judge status in hunters and hunt seat equitation with the USHJA/USEF.  She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Horse Show Association (VHSA).
Sue bought her first horse in 1973 from J. Arthur Reynolds, father of Betty Oare and Bucky Reynolds, whom she now rides with.  In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, Sue showed in the Amateur Hunters with Don Stewart, and currently shows in the Adult Hunters when time permits.  Sue also Fox Hunts with the Casanova Hunt.
Sue grew up on a dairy farm and showed registered Holstein cattle as a child.  Her family is still in the dairy business.  Sue is married with two teenage children.  She and her family reside in Virginia.

Martha Hall, Vice President, Partner & Agent

Martha is a licensed Agent and has been with EMO since 1985; and in the equine insurance business since 1983.  Martha and her late husband, Ronnie Mutch, owned, started and showed the 1996 Chronicle of the Horse Jumper of the Year, now owned by Tracy Bartko Magness.  Martha is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree.  
Martha shows Jumpers on the “A” Circuit and Fox Hunts with the Tryon Hounds.  She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Tryon Riding & Hunt Club, Tryon, North Carolina from 2005-2008, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Tryon Hounds.  Martha resides in North Carolina.

Michael Moran, Vice President, Partner & Agent

Mike has been a Vice President and Partner of The EMO Agency since 1989.  He has been a professional horseman since 1969, operating his own show stable until 1981.  Mike began judging, course designing and commentating in 1979.  He also began a television/radio career in 1985 as a TV sports anchor and color commentator for all major sports networks (ABC, NBC, ESPN, CED, Sky Sports & the BBC).  Mike is also a commercial voice actor and has completed hundreds of commercials for radio and television, locally, regionally and nationally.  He has hosted major auto TV shows for Speed Network and educational films for USEF, PCHA and USHJA.  Mike is a licensed Agent and holds a large “R” status with the USHJA/USEF in hunters, hunter seat equitation, jumpers and Grand Prix course design.

Mike and his wife Sandra split their time between Burbank, California and Mounds, Oklahoma where they own Zozimus Equine, a fifty-five acre private show stable. The Morans breed, train, and sell quality hunter/jumpers and ponies.


Victoria Loughborough, Agent – Equine Mortality Department

Vicki brings with her more than 45 years experience in hunter/jumper showing, personal lessons, as well as a trainer and judge.  Vicki is a licensed Agent and has been with EMO since 1999.  She currently manages the Mortality Department at EMO’s office in Warrenton, Virginia.  Her personal pastimes include gardening, canning, sewing, and vacationing to St. John in the Virgin Islands.  Vicki resides in Virginia.


Stephanie Linthicum, Agent, Equine Mortality Department


Stephanie is a life-long resident of Virginia’s horse country and joined the EMO staff 2008.  She is licensed Agent and currently supports the Equine Mortality Department.  Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from George Mason University.  She has three grown children, and loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.



Stephanie L. Dean, Agent, Farm & Liability Department Team Leader

Stephanie recently joined EMO's Farm and Liability Department in September, 2012. She has been in the commercial insurance industry for a number of years working with independent agencies, and most recently for a Nationwide agency in Warrenton, VA. She is currently working on advanced certifications to enhance her farm and liability credentials.
Stephanie lives in Warrenton with her husband and two children. In her words, "We have 2 dogs, Chloe, our spoiled rotten Pug and Lilly, our Belgian sheepdog. Just this year, I got back into riding and am really enjoying being back in the saddle, it has been way too long."

Bil Hartman, Field Agent

Bil has been actively involved in the equine industry for over 50 years as an exhibitor, events manager, judge, and breeder.  For more than 40 years Bil has operated Hi Trot Farm and shown Hackney Ponies and Morgan Horses.  He was a professional horseman for seven years, and is currently a licensed USEF Steward.  For the last 20 years he has owned and operated Equestrian Management Services in Norco, California.  Bil is a licensed Agent and has been with EMO since 1994.
Bil attended Colorado A&M University where he earned various Aerospace Contract Management certificates over a thirty-year aerospace career.  Bil currently resides in California.

J. Blake Boyd, Field Agent

Blake graduated from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.  He is a licensed Agent and has been with EMO since 2006.
At the age of seven, Blake owned a grey Quarter Horse named “Dusty” who commanded all of his attention; together they ruled a small horse farm in South Carolina.  That desire was never far away and now Blake is following his dream where horses are the center of his livelihood.  He enjoys traveling the show circuit with his wife, trainer Liza Towell Boyd, and their newest addition, baby Ellen.   Blake and his family reside in Camden, South Carolina.

Chris Hocutt, Field Agent

Chris is a licensed Agent and has been with EMO since 1997.  She also manages the EMO West office in Burbank, California.  Chris graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science.
Chris has owned and shown horses since childhood, competing mainly in open shows, in inter-collegiate shows as a member of Cal Poly’s horseshow team, and since 1991, on the American Quarter Horse Association show circuit.  Her accomplishments include multiple AQHA Superior awards, AQHA National High Point Champion, Congress Champion, and several Top Ten AQHA World Show placings.  Additionally, she has shown on the Paint circuit earning an APHA World Championship, and two APHA Reserve World Championships.  Chris currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Association, and is a member of the AQHA Amateur Committee.  Chris currently resides in California.

Daran Lockhart, Field Agent

Daran is a licensed agent and has been with EMO since 2005.  He graduated from the University of Oregon, earning a Bachelors Degree in religious studies and business.  Daran and his wife, Kari, own and operate Poseidon Stables, a hunter/jumper facility in the South Hills of Eugene, Oregon while competing in the west coast grand prix circuits with their horse Careful.  They enjoy traveling, skiing & rollerblading with their pugs.


Drew Taylor, Field Agent

Drew is a licensed Agent and a recent addition to the EMO staff.  She earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Degree from the University of Virginia, is a licensed Realtor, and an American Quarter Horse Association Specialized Hunter Judge. 

Drew is very active in the hunter industry, serving on the Virginia Pony Breeders Association Board of Directors, the National Hunter Pony Breeding Championship Committee, and the Virginia Horse Shows Association Pony Hunter Breeding Committee.


Bill Reightler, Field Agent

Bill is a licensed agent and has distinguished himself in the Thoroughbred industry, with more than 35 years in the business.  After training horses at Mid-Atlantic tracks for 10 years, Bill worked at Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, in the training, broodmare and stud divisions for five years.  He then returned to Maryland to manage Ross Valley Farms, where he built the farm and handled a top band of broodmares that included champions Heavenly Cause and Smart Angle.  During his tenure at Ross Valley, he raised and prepped Houston (a $2.9 million sales yearling) and several stakes horses, including Two Punch.  After five years at Ross Valley, Bill accepted a management position at Chanceland Farm. There he built the farm and helped establish it as a leading operation in the region.

In 1999 Bill started the Bill Reightler Sales Agency.  He has established himself as one of the leading sales and bloodstock agents based in the Mid-Atlantic region. His accomplishments include selling Declan’s Moon (2003 two-year-old Champion), owning and racing stakes winner Pagan Moon, owning and selling Rockcide, half-sister to champion Funnycide, carrying in utero multiple stakes winner Rule.  Bill is also an avid foxhunter and currently serves as the field master of Mt. Carmel Hounds.  Bill and his family reside in Maryland.


Nate Rolfe, Field Agent

Nathan Rolfe is a licensed agent who joined EMO in the summer of 2010.  He has spent time on farms and around horses since he was eight years old.  Nathan attended both the University of California Berkeley, and the University of Georgia.  During his tenure in college, Nathan was twice named the Track and Field team captain, as well as earning All-American honors in the throwing events.
While at the University of Georgia, Nathan met Haylie Jayne, a Hunter/Jumper rider from Elgin, Illinois.  Following their graduation from Georgia in December 2009, Nathan and Haylie were married on the Jayne's farm in Elgin.  Haylie and Nate now spend their winters in Wellington, Florida and their summers in Elgin, Illinois.

Lisa Boswell, Field Agent

Lisa is a licensed agent and joined EMO in 2010. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and is now attending law school at Nova Southeastern University. Lisa is a lifelong equestrian and has been riding, training and showing horses since the age of 10. She resides year-round in Wellington, Florida with her husband, Rob, a prominent equine veterinarian, and their two children.

Mike Lowry, Field Agent

Mike earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of Texas at San Antonio. After working in the corporate world a number of years, he gave it up in 2007 to work full time as a jumper judge and announcer. Mike is a USEF Registered “R” Judge in hunters, hunt seat equitation, and jumpers. He began riding at the age of 14 while living in Houston, Texas, and showed hunters and jumpers throughout the southern U.S. He and his wife Kelly currently live in San Antonio, although they are usually traveling the horse show circuit where Kelly can often be found in the show office. Mike is a licensed agent and joined EMO in 2013.
